I love coconut. I love the refreshing taste of coconut water. The flavour of coconut milk in my curried shrimp. The perfect taste that a bit of coconut oil gives to ackee and saltfish. The way the oil makes my hair shine. But my skin, my skin – does not usually like coconut oil.

Using almost the last bit of my Noix de Coco, Coconut Oil.

So when I was approached to test out this Noix de Coco – Coconut Oil I was so hesitant. It was strictly for skin and hair and while coconut oil was goodin my hair it was not spectacular. As for my skin it just refused to really absorb it, thus making my skin drier when it sheen comes off because that’s all it did add sheen.  So why try Noix de Coco? It was Jamaican and with hopes of some day developing my own product line,  I would like for people to take a chance on me. So I decided to try it.

Guess what?

I liked it. It was a bit lighter than what I was used to for coconut oil, so it really absorbed into my skin. It did not just sit on it leaving me only shiny. I was truly moisturised. The aroma was almost intoxicating. That sweet mild calming natural coconut scent was a plus for me.

Coconut oil already had a reputation of doing well in my hair. This was no different. But I truly was really impressed with the skin results.

This 100 per cent organic and locally sourced coconut oil is a great choice for persons who love coconut oil and make it a part of their skincare regimen. As for the skeptics, I will say try it once. I am pretty sure you will be giving it several chances after knowing just how good it is. And for those who are just looking for a good carrier oil, I would say grab a bottle too. XOXO
