If you know me, you know that I love my hair. I am careful with how I treat it but the closest I have ever come to colouring is the occasional black dye job.

Before I tried hair paint wax

I was fine with that but then there was several influencers popping up in my instagram feed using Hair Paint Wax. If I am to be honest, I was a skeptic. Like a wax with colour that is super pigmented that doesn’t compromise the colour and or texture of your hair. One that actually rinses out with ease if you do not like the colour, instead of waiting a year or so for it to grow out? Really?

Well there has to be a catch. Then I saw the price $6.99. That’s it. Nope. No way in hell that this could possibly work. But I said, it is super affordable let me try it. I watched several youtube video with my favourite vlogger @kendrakenshay amongst others who tried it. Many seemed to love it.

So it was time to pick the colour. I chose Gold. It took me a week and a half to get it through Shipme and by this time I was like a child highly anticipating eating her favourite candy. That very night, I opened it and dabbed a little on a small part of my hair to see how it looked and it was AMAZINGGGG! I rinsed it out to ensure it didn’t affect my natural colour and it didn’t. So I decided it was safe to try.

Yes a blonde bombshell for a couple days

And I did my normal wash and go routine, then on my damp hair applied the wax. See for yourself the results. BOMBBBB! My hair didn’t feel any different, very minimal transfer after it dried and it lasted for as long as  my wash and go did.

So wash day hmmmm. I was expecting that wash one and wash two and then a wash three was in order. Now after one, yes ONE was it was all out. I did a second shampoo just to be sure and again did my normal routine and my hair was back to normal – black and beautiful untainted.

Back to Black for a night out

So lets say that for the individuals that want to have a bit of colour in their hair minus the damage, this is a must try. The tub is not the largest but a little goes a faaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrr way. It might not be for everyone but when it comes to hair colour, I recommend trying them first before making a permanent decision.

You have so many things to commit to, why commit to a hair colour when you don’t have to. XOXO
